MADRID — A Gouverneur woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs Monday after she crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of State Highway 345 and State Highway 310, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Lori A. Whiteford, 52, was charged with DWAI: Drugs and failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign, officers said.
A drug recognition expert determined that Whiteford was impaired by drugs at the time of the incident, deputies said.
No injuries were reported.
Whiteford was cited and released.
