GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man was charged with rape Friday, according to Gouverneur police.
Stephen Henderson, no age listed, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. for second-degree rape, felony.
He was charged on North Gordon Street for engaging in sexual intercourse with a person who is less than fifteen years old, police said.
Henderson was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court before Judge Stanley H. Young and remanded to the St, Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $2500, officers said.
