OGDENSBURG – Four Ogdensburg residents face drug charges after police apprehended a man who fled officers on foot while in possession of a one-pot meth lab.

Ogdensburg police charged Steven Davis on an outstanding warrant following a foot chase. Davis was allegedly carrying a one-pot methamphetamine lab in his backpack at the time of arrest.

Due to the volatile nature of the chemicals Ogdensburg Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Police say they continued the investigation after the arrest and executed a search warrant at 625 Franklin street where components and materials used in the manufacturing of meth were found.

Police then charged Nathan G. Corbine, Jessica L. Pray, Brittany L. Remi and Steven E. Davis with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Davis was additionally charged with a second count of third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, petit larceny and resisting arrest.

All defendants were held without bail following arrest.

The Ogdensburg Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team and the Ogdensburg Fire Department.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are possible. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, according to police.
