POTSDAM – A rash of five traffic accidents in Potsdam during bad weather Saturday involving nine vehicles resulted in tickets to five drivers, the Potsdam Police Department reports.
Noah W. Starnes, 19, Potsdam, was issued a ticket charging him with speed not reasonable or prudent at 9:46 a.m. Saturday along Depot St., which police said was responsible for accident there.
Guy Bessette, 62, Chambly, Que., was issued a ticket charging him with moving from lane unsafely after the investigation of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Market Street and Elm Street at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, which police said was due to Bessette making an improper turn.
Haylee R. Vanderpool , 19, Willsboro , received a ticket from Potsdam police charging her with following too closely after they investigated a two-vehicle accident on Maple Street at 3:39 p.m. Saturday, which they said was caused by her following the vehicle ahead of her too closely.
Michael J. Zembricki, 23, Morgansville, N.J., received a ticket alleging he was driving at a speed not reasonable and prudent at 4:03 p.m. Saturday, causing to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Market Street and Elm Street, according to police.
Deserae L. Schwan, 30, Bath, received a ticket alleging she was driving at a speed not reasonable and prudent, causing a two-vehicle accident at 4:06 p.m. at the intersection of Elm Street and Market Street, police said.
