Doheny now ahead of Hoffman by 605 votes out 0f 29,565; race too close to call

Alex Bay investor Matt Doheny is leading Conservative Douglas Hoffman by 605 votes, 15,854-15,484, making the race too close to call.

Both Republicans are battling to oppose Democratic Congressman Bill Owens for the 23rd Congressional Seat in the November elections. A few districts in Oneida, Oswego and Madison counties had not finished tallying votes by 12:30 a.m. today and are not included in the totals. Neither are mail-in ballots.

With all of St. Lawrence County’s 102 election districts reporting,  Doheny received  2,722 votes compared to Hoffman's 2,213.

In Franklin County, where all districts reported, the result was 844 for Hoffman and 340 for Doheny.

In Jefferson County, with all districts reporting in Doheny's home territory, the Alex Bay investor led 2,771 to  Hoffman's 2,307

Oswego County, with 117 of 124 district reporting, is reporting 3,100 votes for Doheny, compared to 2,605 for Hoffman.

In Essex County, it's 769 for Doheny and 1,048 for Hoffman.

In Clinton County, with all districts reporting, Hoffman has received 1,577 votes, compared to Doheny's 893.

In Oneida County, Doheney leads, 719-590. In Lewis County, the total is 755 for Doheney and 728 for Hoffman.
