Dry weather returns to the North Country today and persists right through Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Mostly cloudy skies this morning will turn to mostly sunny skies with a high near 47, forecasters say. Overnight the low will be around 27.

Temperatures will be slightly above seasonal normals through Saturday as well with mostly sunny skies and highs near 54, the service says.

The pattern will change starting Saturday night as low pressure slowly moves across the region Sunday and Monday, the service says. Widespread precipitation is expected during this time period, mainly in the form of rain.

Drier weather will return for the middle of next week.
