CANTON -- CP of the North Country’s Outdoor Recreation Program participants are selling t-shirts in hopes of raising money to support operation of the program.
The t-shirts, a 50/50 cotton/poly blend and safety green for visibility, are available in short-sleeve for $10 or long-sleeve for $15.
The Outdoor Recreation Program offers individuals of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities that may not have been accessible to them without the instruction and training this program provides to accommodate individuals’ physical and learning needs. The activities include kayaking, canoeing, swimming, exercise group, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, camping, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Local businesses that sponsored the t-shirts are Adirondack River Outfitters, The Body Shop, Boyden Brook Body Works, Frazer, The Hair Studio & Tanning Salon, Mama Lucia’s Italian Dining & Cuisine, Nature’s Storehouse, North Country Savings Bank, Scoopuccinos, Sergi’s Italian Restaurant, Stewart’s Shops, and Dr. James B. Sullivan.
Shawn Gillette worked hard getting sponsors. Maria Hernandez designed the program logo, on each t-shirt, and Great Northern Printing donated some of the t-shirts.
Those interested in ordering a t-shirt may contact Outdoor Recreation Program Coordinator Jim Williams at 379-9667 or e jim@cpnorthcoutnry.org.
