PIERREPONT -- Members of Colton AMVETS Post 262 recently toured Camp Serenity, off the Sturtevant Road in the Town of Pierrepont.
Camp Serenity enables disabled veterans and veterans alike to enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, bird watching or just reflecting on their surroundings.
The Colton post has donated $3,000 to this worthwhile project to be used as the organizers see fit.
Post personnel on the tour were, from left, Ladies Auxiliary President Vickie Lavoie, Linda Burke, Morris Jeffries, Cynthia Jeffries, Past Ladies Auxiliary President Grace Hawley, Steve Waite, President of Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures Bob Giordano, Tim Hanna, Post 262 Commander Dan McKinley, Randy Burke, Bob Richard, Bill Swafford, and Rick Miller.
