Canton school approves new coaches

CANTON — The Canton Central School Board of Education approved a slew of fall, winter and spring coaches for its 2019-20 season.

The coaches are as follows: Kristopher Boettcher, varsity cross county (co-ed) and girls varsity indoor track at stipends of $4,430 and $5,172 respectively; Trevor Bombard, boys modified lacrosse, $1,970 stipend; Samuel Bradman, assistant modified football and boys varsity lacrosse at $1,379 and $4,430 stipends; Donald Brown, JV volleyball and varsity and modified gold at $4,023 and $4,064 stipends.

Other coaches approved were Matthew Caufield, boys varsity soccer and varsity baseball at $5,364 stipends for each; Thomas Cloce, varsity football, $4,430 stipend; James DiSalvo, girls varsity basketball, $6,247 stipend; Andrew Fanning, girls JV soccer, $4,023 stipend; Anita Francis, girls varsity hockey and JV softball, $6,247 and $4,023 stipends; Todd Furnia, unpaid assistance varsity football and unpaid assistant boys JV basketball; Michelle Garrow, unpaid assistant boys varsity swimming and George Gordon, unpaid assistant boys varsity and JV basketball.

More coaches approved were Michael Haycook, varsity wrestling, $5,172 stipend; Bryan Huntley, boys varsity indoor track, $5,172 stipend; Corey Jordan, unpaid assistant JV football; Gregory Kiah, girls varsity soccer and boys varsity track, $5,364 and $4,430 stipends; Enrico Lasala, assistant boys varsity lacrosse, $3,407 stipend; Troy Lassial, boys varsity basketball, $4,575 stipend; Anthony Levato, boys varsity hockey, $4,575 stipend; Robert Liggio, co-assistant boys varsity hockey, $1,601 stipend; Deborah Lyndaker, assistant boys and girls varsity track, $2,757 stipend and Corey Maxner, JV football, $3,323 stipend.

Also approved to coach were Mary McGovern, varsity girls swimming and boys varsity swimming, $5,364 and $6,247 stipends; Mark Mende, modified baseball, $2,682; Jeffrey Meyers, boys modified soccer and girls modified lacrosse, $2,215 stipends for each; Troy Miller, co-assistant JV football, $1,163 stipend; Dylan Morrison, unpaid assistant varsity wrestling; Jacob Newman, co-assistant boys varsity hockey, $1,601 stipend; Murphy Newman, girls varsity lacrosse, $4,430 stipend; Timothy Olmstead, co-assistant JV football, $1,163 stipend; Stephanie Porter, modified volleyball and unpaid assistant girls basketball, $2,434 stipend; William Porter, assistant varsity football, boys JV basketball, girls varsity track, $3,755, $4,685 and $5,364 stipends and Art Quackenbush, unpaid assistant for all level of girls basketball.

The board also appointed Matthew Randi, unpaid assistant modified football and unpaid assistant boys lacrosse for all levels; Alan Rossner, modified wrestling, no stipend; Shannon Shannon, modified cross county, assistant co-ed varsity and modified indoor track, $2,215 and $3,620 stipends; Randy Sieminski, unpaid assistant girls varsity basketball; Stephen Conrad Stuntz, unpaid assistant boys swimming; John Tallion, unpaid assistant varsity softball; Agnes Toth, modified swimming, co-ed modified indoor track, modified co-ed track, $2,682, $3,124 and $2,682 stipends; Margaret Troiano, assistant girls hockey, $3,203 stipend; David Webster, modified football, $2,682 stipend; Carla Wentworth, varsity volleyball and modified softball, $5,364 and $2,682 stipends; Michael Wentworth, boys JV soccer, girls JV basketball, varsity softball, $4,023, $4,685 and $5,364 stipends.

The school is still seeking coaches for girls modified soccer, boys modified basketball and girls modified basketball.
