NORWOOD -- Brookfield Renewable distributed a flyer May 17 to the residents on Norwood Impoundment detailing the timeline for work on the lake.
Construction is planned to resume the week of May 20. Drilling is scheduled to begin on June 3 and continue for about nine weeks. Planned impoundment elevation during the project is approximately 6 to 8 inches below the concrete spillway crest or 18 to 20 inches below normal summer pool.
Due to weather conditions, the repair work and drawdown plans are subject to change. Brookfield “will make every attempt to notify the public in advance of planned changes,” they said in a news release.
They say the public should be cautious when recreating around water, as conditions can change unexpectedly. People should always check water conditions before any recreation, Brookfield said.
