BRASHER -- A Brasher Falls resident was charged Wednesday following investigation of a vehicle larceny reported to state police July 7.

Benjamin F. Marsh, 38, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and making a false written statement, officers said.

Police said he falsely reported that his 1993 Ford F250 dump truck had been stolen.

He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and two license plate infractions, police said.

He was cited at 7:48 a.m. on CR 50 and released.
