CANTON – Book donations are needed for the Used Book Bonanza at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association (SLCHA), being held May 31 and June 1, during the St. Lawrence County Dairy Festival Weekend.
Book donations of hardcover and paperback fiction, nonfiction, poetry, photography, art, cooking, crafts, gardening, leisure activities, drama, music, and, of course, history are welcome.
Please do not donate mildewed books, books in poor condition, textbooks, out-of-date reference books, encyclopedias or magazines.
Books can be dropped off by May 30 to SLCHA, Silas Wright House, 3 E. Main St., during open hours, Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 4 p.m.; Friday, noon to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The book sale will be held at the Silas Wright House, Friday, May 31, noon-6 p.m. and Saturday, June 1,10 a.m.-4 p.m. All proceeds benefit SLCHA.
SLCHA is a membership organization open to anyone interested in St. Lawrence County history.
Admission is free at the door; admission to the archives is free for members and children, $2.50 for college students, and $5.00 for the general public.
Parking is available behind the SLCHA building, next to the main entrance.
