Alford will seek Ogdensburg City Court judge seat

OGDENSBURG -- Part-time Ogdensburg City Court Judge Gary R. Alford recently announced his candidacy for election to the full-time city court judge position.

Judge Alford has lived in Ogdensburg for the past 25 years.

He has practiced law for the past eighteen years with offices on Caroline Street.

In February 2014, he was named to the part-time judge position.

Judge Alford earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Plattsburgh, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law.

He has served as a director and past president of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, a trustee and treasurer of the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, and currently serves as a trustee and president of the Morristown Gateway Museum.

His memberships include the St. Lawrence County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
