POTSDAM -- More than 200 students from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam will make their collective Lincoln Center debut on Tuesday, May 1 in a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's monumental Messa da Requiem under the baton of Ann Howard Jones.

In celebration of the 125th anniversary of Crane, the entire Crane Chorus and members of the Crane Symphony Orchestra will travel to New York City for the Avery Fisher Hall concert.

The Crane Chorus roster includes:

• Juliana Alfano, a freshman from Massena, who sings soprano

• Zackary Kelley, a junior from Gouverneur, who sings bass

• Kayla Kesner, a freshman from Brasher Falls, who sings soprano

• Corey Reichhart, a senior from Potsdam, who sings bass

• Joseph Schuessler, a senior from Gouverneur, who sings tenor

• Kate Waters, a sophomore from Potsdam, who sings soprano

Leading up to the concert, the students will have an intensive weeklong musical immersion experience culminating in a packed performance at the Potsdam campus, before they depart for New York City.

Also joining the musicians on stage will be SUNY Potsdam President Dr. John F. Schwaller, a baritone.

The Requiem will be performed at SUNY Potsdam's Hosmer Concert Hall on April 28.
