Canton, NY – Josh Yelvington and Noah Robinson led the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team with seven points each as the Roos earned a convincing 25-3 win v. Thomas College in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Robinson posted five goals, two assists and nine ground balls, while Yelvington recorded four goals, three assists and 10 ground balls. Jacob Facey chipped in three goals, two assists and nine ground balls.
Hunter Olsen finished with a goal and game-best four assists, while Sonny White and Dante Coco struck for two goals and one assist each. Andrew Garrett finished with one goal and two assists, Eli Kocsis had a goal and assist, Mike Gariepy scored twice and Nick Walberger scored once while winning six of eight faceoffs.
White also chipped in seven ground balls, while Jeffrey Perez added six. Blaze Benedict caused a game-high four turnovers. Noel Abreu finished 8-for-10 on faceoffs, while Brad Pray was 7-for-8 and Rico Dobbs and Jeffrey Perez combined to go 4-for-5.
SUNY Canton jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the opening quarter and led 12-1 at halftime. Robinson had four goals and two assists and Facey added three goals and one helper in the opening half.
Canton extended its lead to 21-2 after the third quarter cruising to the victory.
The Roos held advantages in shots (71-12), shots on goal (39-5), turnovers (27-41), faceoffs (25-6) and ground balls (90-33).
