Farmington, ME – Allison Wakefield and Jenny Ward combined to make 13 saves but Lydia Roy and McKenna Brodeur scored two goals each to lift host Maine Farmington to a 4-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win v. the SUNY Canton women's soccer team on Saturday.
Roy scored twice in the first 28 minutes to give the Beavers (2-9, 2-2 NAC) a 2-0 halftime lead. Brodeur tallied twice in an 11-minute span in the second half leading to the 4-0 final.
Wakefield stopped 13 shots over the first 65 minutes, while Ward made three stops in relief for the Roos (3-8, 1-3 NAC). Callie Hammer and Mikayla Cameron each played a half with Cameron making two saves to combine for the shutout for Maine Farmington.
The women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Wednesday when it visits Brockport at 3:30 p.m.
