Caitlin Syphurs hit two home runs and Allie Courtwright threw a three-hit shutout to lead the St. Lawrence University softball team to a 12-0 win over crosstown rival SUNY Canton in a non-league game at SUNY Canton on Thursday evening.

Syphurs tied the school record for home runs in a game, and the first-year outfielder/catcher from Sierra Vista, Ariz., is also tied for the school record for home runs in a season with six.
