(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s cross country team ran in the Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational at St. Lawrence University on Saturday and finished in sixth place out seven teams.
Sophomore Megan Mydosh (Warwick, N.Y.) turned in a 40th-place finish in a time of 25:56 in the 6K race on a wet and slippery course.
Freshman Keara Byrne (Queensbury, N.Y.) was right behind Mydosh crossing the finish line in 44th place with a time of 26:07. Freshman Megan Morrow (Gouverneur, N.Y.) battled through an injury to place 78th in a time of 30:07. Freshman Paige Janis (Rochester, N.Y.) followed 23 seconds later in 79th place (30:20). Freshman Jessica Nagy (Budd Lake, N.J.) finished in 82nd place (31:03), sophomore Mary Cole (Canton, N.Y.) came in 86th (31:47), and sophomore Heather Ameele (Williamson, N.Y.) came in 87th (32:48).
SUNY Canton will wrap up their regular season next Saturday, Oct. 13 at the CCOC Championships hosted by Hobart and William Smith and then prepare for the USCAA National Championship on Nov. 9 in Lake Placid.
