Beverly, MA – Sydney Kinder and Tess Adams sparked the Roos to a 2-0 lead but three unanswered goals including the game-winner off the stick of Jillian Gibbs earned conference unbeaten Endicott College a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon.

Kinder scored her first goal of the season to get the Roos out to a 1-0 lead 10:21 into the opening period. Jessica Pele's initial shot was saved but Kinder jammed home the rebound near the crease. Tessa Dobson also earned a helper on the play.

The Roos (7-10-1, 2-4-0 CHC) doubled their lead six minutes later when Adams sniped a shot in the right corner over the glove side from the right faceoff circle. Canton took the 2-0 lead after one.

The Gulls (17-2-1, 8-0-0 CHC) got within one at 5:05 of the middle period when Jade Meier found Courtney Walpole with a pass from the right faceoff wing to the left post as she one-timed a shot past Brooke Susac. Gibbs also earned an assist on the play.

Endicott knotted the game one minute later when Maggie Layo redirected a Michaela McNamara pass in the slot. The teams skated to a 2-2 tie after two. Neither team could find the back of the net as they skated to overtime.

With 2:09 remaining in the extra period Gibbs put home the game-winner as the Gulls pulled out a late victory. Susac turned aside 40 shots for the Roos, while Alyssa Peterson made 18 stops for Endicott.

The women's hockey team visits SUNY Cortland in non-conference action on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
