Sophomore Tom Egbers and first-year Bryan McLennan each shot a 74 to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team on day one of the North Country Shootout at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course on Saturday afternoon in Canton, New York.
Egbers and McLennan shot just two over par to lead St. Lawrence's 'Scarlet' team on the par-72 course.
First-year William Wilson shot the next-best score for the Saints with a 78 for six over par.
After day one, Clarkson sits in first place with a combined score of 297, while the Saints 'Scarlet' team takes second with 306 and SUNY Canton is third with a 319.
