Brigitte Tousignant at one and Carolyn Fisher at nine each pushed their matches to four games on Saturday, but Bates prevailed 9-0 in a women's squash match at the Robie Squash Center.
Tousignant traded games with Cheri-Ann Parris, dropping a 11-4 decision before winning 11-6. Parris then took a 13-11 win in game three and closed out the well-played match with a 11-9 win in game four. Fisher was down 2-0- to Rokya Samake in the match at nine, but won game three 11-9 to force a fourth game which Samake won 11-5.
Jenn Hearn lost 3-0 to Myriam Kelly at two, Kendall Harty lost 3-0 to Ashley Brooks at three, Brittany Coxe lost to Samantha Matos at four, Charlotte Edson was beaten by Rakey Drammeh at five and Molly Caplan lost to Chole Mitchell at sixth. Parker Benedict lost to Allison Bragg at seven and Kate Holby lost to Lesea Bourke at nine.
The Saints will host Hamilton on Jan. 27 in their next match.
