Canton, NY – Three players scored in double figures paced by a game-high 20 points from Breanna Cullers as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team earned a convincing 78-47 win v. Thomas College in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
With the win the Roos improve to 12-13 on the season and will take on Maine Maritime Academy on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Championship weekend will be hosted by top seeded Husson.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cullers 20 points were five off her season-high. Antanasia Chambes stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and five steals. Tyberia Wallace chipped in 11 points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes of action. Autumn Watkins finished with nine points and eight rebounds, while Sade Rogers added eight.
Addie Brinkman was the lone Terrier in double figures with 12 points, while Malorie Weaver and Kaylee Ravagli supplied eight points each.
The Roos jumped out to a quick 20-7 lead after the opening quarter behind nine points from Cullers. Canton continued to control play outscoring the Terriers, 21-9 in the second quarter to take a commanding 25-point lead into intermission.
The teams played to an even 15-15 mark in the third quarter with Canton cruising to victory. Madison Seguin scored her first collegiate points off the bench in the closing minutes for the Roos.
Canton held the upper hand in second chance points (21-4), points off turnovers (20-7) and points in the paint (36-24).

The Roos advance to take on No. 2 seed Maine Maritime Academy in the NAC semifinals on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The semifinals and championship will be hosted by top seed Husson University.
