Wind chill values of -19 possible today in St. Lawrence County; warmer weekend on tap

St. Lawrence County will see a cold period of mostly dry weather continue through early next week followed by a warming trend in temperatures with rain or snow by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Skies will be partly sunny today with a high near 29 and wind chill values as low as -19, the service says. Wind gusts could reach as high as 28 miles per hour.

Tonight lows will be around 19, the service says. Tomorrow will see a high near 36 with most cloudy skies.

The next chance for precipitation will occur midweek as a low pressure system lifts northeastward out of the central US, bringing a rain/snow mix and some gusty winds to the North Country.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Southwest wind 11 to 14 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
