LISBON – St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what was initially reported as a drowning death that occurred in Lisbon on May 1, however the victim is now in recovery.
A boy approximately five-years-old drowned in a pool, but was resuscitated by emergency medical personnel and transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
The boy was then transferred to Syracuse for further treatment, where his condition had been improving, according to Undersheriff Sean O’Brien.
He said the investigation is ongoing and interviews are being conducted. He said photos and measurements were taken at the scene of the incident and that no charges have been filed at this time.
O’Brien said the sheriff’s office takes all investigations seriously.
