Rensselaer Falls man accused of DWI, drug possession; Hammond man charged with DWAI on motorcycle

OSWEGATCHIE — A Rensselaer Falls man was charged with driving while intoxicated an drug possession following a traffic stop on McIlwee Road Saturday afternoon, according to state police.

Justin R. Butler, 29, was charged with first-offense DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a stop light violation, police said.

His arrest status was not made available.

MORRISTOWN — A Hammond man was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol on CR 5 Sunday morning, according to state police.

Jimmy R. Sherron, 25, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation: Alcohol, felony, DWAI, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and registration and a motorcycle helmet violation, officers said.

He was cited and released.
