Potsdam man charged with criminal mischief, criminal tampering, harassment, open container

POTSDAM — A Potsdam resident was charged Monday night following a report of a domestic dispute at Debra Drive, according to Potsdam police.

Tyler J. Burns, 29, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal tampering, second-degree harassment and open container, officers said.

Burns allegedly prevented another person from contacting emergency services during the physical domestic incident.

While in police custody, he reportedly tampered with police department equipment.

Burns was released under the supervision of probation, police said.
