To the Editor:
I wish to thank the voters of the 48th Senate District for placing trust in me as your new State Senator.
Over 500 volunteers from across Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties helped in this effort, as I visited every community, and met with as many voters as I could to listen to your concerns and share ideas on how we can put N.Y. back on the right track. But it was voters—hardworking men and women of Central and Northern New York—who stood up and made your voices heard on Election Day that made the difference.
The campaign is over, the votes have been counted, and now the real work begins. I am eager to get to work to fight for better jobs and lower taxes, and to restore our faith and confidence in state government to once again get the job done.
Patty Ritchie
State Senator-elect
