Opinion: Way too early to be for or against impeachment, Edwards resident says

Just read an article from the Adirondack Daily Enterprise featured on NCN Weds. In short, the article detailed statements from Elise Stefanik and Tedra Cobb on the presidential impeachment inquiry. While both shared a desire for “transparency”, Stefanik opposed the impeachment of the president but Cobb withheld any judgement until “Congress has all of the facts to fully investigate and the whistleblower complaint is released to Congress, in full, along with all relevant documents and communications, and the Director of National Intelligence has been allowed to testify freely.”

In my opinion it’s way to early in the Congressional investigation to be either for or against impeachment, so Ms. Cobb nailed it by expressing a desire to know all of the facts before making a decision. Ms. Stefanik, by “opposing before knowing”, seems to be putting party, politics, and partisanship before our country and our constitution.

Furthermore, when Elise called Ms. Cobb “failed, far left candidate Taxin Tedra Cobb” it kind of took my breath away. I don’t work for the Cobb campaign but I know her as a NorthCountry neighbor and I can assure You that she is not “failed”, she is not “far left”, (whatever that means), and the “Taxin Tedra” baloney was proven false time and time again when it surfaced so rudely and immaturely during last years campaign. Besides, if it wasn’t for “Taxin”, there would be no funds to pay Ms. Stefaniks $170,000+ annual salary, so I guess this “Taxin” business isn’t as evil as it’s cracked up to be!

I thank North Country Now for the opportunity to express our opinions.
