Opinion: Vote for board that will uphold strong wind laws, says Potsdam resident

Please take notice of this important message! If you wish to continue living the good life and enjoying our town's rural farming and recreational landscapes, you need to get involved!

Register to vote now and then show up at the town hall to vote your wishes on November 5, 2019. I’m voting for Jeff Snell, Jody Wenzel, and Sue Wood because they are the only candidates who have publicly committed to keeping a strong wind and solar law in place to protect the health, safety, economy, and well-being of our beautiful community.

A vote for other candidates is a vote to have those protections possibly relinquished in favor of the personal interests of a handful of residents and the mega interests of a multi-billion dollar foreign corporation who only cares about profits -- not People!

The only way the Town of Hopkinton can continue to heal from the wind developer's initial ploy to take what we hold dear is to make sure the door is closed and locked against future industrial energy projects that are not locally owned and controlled. Elect Sue Wood, Jeff Snell, and Jody Wenzel.

Your vote for Jeff, Jody, and Sue will send yet another clear message to Avangrid that the majority of Hopkinton residents do not want them to be a part of our landscape nor do we want them to control our Town's future.

We need to elect leaders who will make it extremely clear that we expect the wind company to make good on their promise to terminate property leases in our town and leave us alone for once and for all.

We need you to give a voice to Jeff, Jody, and Sue on November 5, 2019. Get registered, if you aren’t already, and get to the polls! See you there!
