The Colton AMVETS Post 262 wishes to thank sincerely those spectators who came out to show support and their respect for this country’s veterans during the Colton and South Colton Memorial Day Parades held on May 27th.
The Post extends a special thank you to our AMVET volunteers and Auxiliary, Colton Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad and their Auxiliary, Pierrepont Volunteer Fire Department, Colton Pierrepont Marching Band, and Katie Lashomb, leader of Colton Girl Scout Troop 59195, and her troop for their participation in the parade.
Please note: The retiring of the flag ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 15th, 2019. Those who have damaged or worn flags may bring them to the Post on Route 56 any time prior to the above time and date when they will properly disposed of.
The public is welcome to attend this ceremony.
