In response to “Opinion: Rep. Stefanik Forgets Her Pledge to North Country Residents, says St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee” which appeared online Nov. 19: I was so glad to see the St. Lawrence County democratic committee letter – labeled “opinion” because that is just what it is an “opinion” - a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
As I sit and watch the hearings only one thought comes to mind – the past election debates with Elise Stefanik and Tedra Cobb – how embarrassing it would be for the family's of the 21st District to have someone like Tedra Cobb in that seat on a national scene – stammering and stuttering and hemming and hawing and losing her train of thought as she did so many times in the debates.
Also as far as our congressional representative supposedly forgetting her pledge to her constituents – that is your “opinion”.
It seems that our local democratic committee – in my “opinion” – have taken on the national democratic committee approach to politics – and that is to throw anything they can at the wall and see what sticks!
Perhaps my and many others “opinion” means little or nothing to the St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee – but you can bet my and many others “vote” means everything to them.
