With NYS Senate bill 9191, introduced recently by Democratic Senator Kevin Parker, the Democrats are attempting to violate all at once the rights guaranteed us by the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments.
The senator's bill states that, in order to obtain a pistol license or renewal, the applicant must surrender to the investigating officer "any log-in name, password or other means for accessing a personal account, service, or electronic communications device." The officer will then "review an applicant's social media accounts for the previous three years and search engine history for the previous year and investigate an applicant's posts or searches related to...any...issue deemed necessary by the investigating officer," among other, specified issues.
Senator Parker has expressed his intention to present a similar bill for the licensing of long guns.
In one legislative swoop, the Democratic senator is attempting to deprive the citizens of New York State of their rights to free speech, to keep and bear arms, and to be secure in their papers and effects. The bill appears to be the first step taken by the Democratic Party towards implementing a version of the Chinese-Communist Social Credit System, which is used to monitor and direct citizens' behavior.
The Democratic Party, the Working Families Party, Democratic Socialists of America, and the Communist Party USA are all united by a common ideological thread. Nothing illustrates this better than the fact that in 2016, national chairman of the CPUSA John Bachtell urged party members to support Hillary Clinton if Bernie Sanders lost the Democratic primary.
The new Democratic state senate majority has not even been sworn in yet and already the Democrats are conspiring to deprive us of our liberties.
It is unfortunate for New Yorkers who cherish the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights that the majority of the voters of this state chose in November to give the freedom-destroying Democrats absolute and unbridled power over our lives.
