SUNY Potsdam honors 35 staff retirees with 963 total years of service

POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam honored 35 longtime employees upon their retirements this spring. Together, the faculty and staff members had collectively dedicated an impressive 963 years of service to the institution.

"We are proud to recognize faculty and staff who have collectively devoted centuries of service to SUNY Potsdam,” said President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg. “The campus is truly fortunate to have such dedicated, hard-working employees who every day strive to make a difference in the lives of our students."

This year's SUNY Potsdam retirees included:

• Nancy Alzo, 32 years of service

• Denise Basford, 30 years of service

• Roger Beaulieu, 23 years of service

• JoEllen Bero, 40 years of service

• Tamela Bradish, 17 years of service

• Ronald Bretsch, 46 years of service

• Kathleen Camp, 35 years of service

• Larry Colby, 39 years of service

• Dennis Conrad, 18 years of service

• Joseph Di Giovanna, 46 years of service

• Mary Dolan, 13 years of service

• Dixy Dufresne, 23 years of service

• Deforrest Ellsworth, 19 years of service

• Thomas Gerstenberger, 30 years of service

• Richard Green, 11 years of service

• David Heinick, 29 years of service

• William Herman, 25 years of service

• Faye Lamar, 35 years of service

• Kathleen Lamay, 16 years of service

• Martha Logan, 29 years of service

• Bonnie Marsh-Godreau, 37 years of service

• Francis McLaughlin, 40 years of service

• Rick Miller, 15 years of service

• Beth Morey, 11 years of service

• Gregory Reichhart, 41 years of service

The retirees represented every part of the campus from faculty to administration. All of the 2017-18 retirees were honored during a special ceremony at the annual Employee Recognition Breakfast, which also recognizes award recipients and honors employees reaching major employment milestones.
