POTSDAM -- Floyd Ormsbee, an assistant professor of consumer & organizational studies in Clarkson University's David D. Reh School of Business has been awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award for the 2019-2020 academic year. Formal recognition will take place at commencement, which is currently planned for August 15.
The $1,500 prize is given "in recognition of the importance of superior teaching." Candidates are nominated for the award by Clarkson alumni, and the final selection is made by a faculty committee.
Ormsbee teaches undergraduate courses in organizational behavior, negotiations, and organizational policy and strategy; graduate courses in organizational behavior, negotiations, strategic planning and leading organizational change; and executive/graduate courses in negotiations and relationship management, and change leadership. He also leads students in educational trips abroad to Australia and Thailand.
