OGDENSBURG -- Rori McCarthy, representing the Ogdensburg Figure Skating Club, placed third at the State Games of America earlier this month in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Original ordinals had Rori tied for second place with a skater from Wisconsin.
Coached by Lauren Morley, Rori qualified for the State Games of America by placing first in the 2018 Empire State Games and third in the 2019 Empire State Games, both held in Lake Placid.
she and Coach Morley have their sights set on the next State Games of America competition in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2021.
Rori, the daughter of Dan and Autumn McCarthy, is going into her freshman year at Lisbon Central School.
