Norwood-Norfolk picks class leaders

NORWOOD -- Sydney Jarvis, daughter of Aaron and Karen Jarvis of Norfolk, is the valedictorian of Norwood Norfolk Class of 2020 with an average of 96.83. Sydney is a bright young lady who will be graduating with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. Sydney has taken honors classes including AP U.S. History, AP Calculus, AP Biology and college credit Public Speaking, Precalculus, English Composition and Statistics.

Sydney has been the recipient of many awards and honors. She is involved in the school Academic Distinction Program, National Honor Society, and selected as Student of the Month every year.

Sydney plans to attend Clarkson University to major in Biology.

[img_assist|nid=280450|title=|desc=Makenna King|link=none|align=right|width=250|height=300]Makenna King, the daughter of Danielle and Chris Lenney and Chris King of Norwood, is the salutatorian of the Norwood Norfolk Class of 2020 with an average of 96.35. Makenna is a bright young lady who will be graduating with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. Makenna has taken honors classes including AP U.S. History, AP Calculus, and college credit Precalculus, English Composition and Statistics.

Makenna is involved in many activities including, Whiz Quiz, Bel Aires, Spanish Club, Varsity Club, Drama Club, Musical, Travel Club, and Bel Aires. She has been Vice President of the Class of 2020 all four years. She has also been Secretary of Drama Club and Travel Club for three years.

Makenna is also an athlete participating in Cross Country all four years and Spring Track.

Makenna has been the recipient of many awards and honors. She is involved in the school Academic Distinction Program, National Honors Society, Student of the Month all fours years, and Academic All Northern.

Makenna plans to attend St. John Fisher to major in Adolescent Mathematics in Education.

Other students graduating with a higher than 90 average include: Luke Allen, Jaron Belmore, Stephanie Bock, Nick Burke, Molly Colburn, Shianne Cota, Erin Dickinson, Alaina Elliott, Courtney North, Kaelee Shrewsberry, Levi Sochia, Erin Stickney, Dawson Villnave and Alyvia Weegar.
