OGDENSBURG -- Ethyn Moquin, a senior from Morristown Central School in the BOCES Metalworking Technologies Program has been chosen as the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce BOCES Student of the Month for May.
Teacher Jon Hughes said, “Ethyn started out strong in his junior year when he built a Push-Pull Machine for St. Lawrence County Fire. He is an independent worker who seeks help when needed. Ethyn passed the New York State Structural Welding Test AKA Bridge Test. Ethyn always participates in projects not only in the shop but also for the National Honor Society.”
Ethyn works at the Morristown Church, Stouts Ready Mix and has his own snowplow and handyman business. He is on the Morristown track team and the Morristown Fire Department. He is the president of the BOCES Honor Society and served on the Committee for the Dissolution of the Village. He would like to continue in welding and heavy equipment operation. He plans to continue in the Morristown Fire Department, and wants to run in the primary election for town council at the end of June.
Ethyn received a certificate from BOCES, a Chamber Dollars check sponsored by Jones Insurance Agency, and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
