Theresa Betz of North Lawrence and Victoria Smith of Massena were among the 249 SUNY students who have earned the 2018 Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.
Theresa Betz graduated in January 2018 with an associate’s degree in business administration from SUNY Adirondack. She is continuing her education in management and human resources at Siena College.
Victoria Smith, a nursing major at North Country Community College, will also earn a degree in health sciences. Victoria has volunteered on mission trips to India and Uganda, and participated in a medical brigade to Honduras in March 2018.
These awards acknowledge students who have received recognition for distinguished achievements. These students have proven to be exceptional leaders, volunteers, and visionaries. It is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by SUNY.
