LISBON -- Lisbon Central School physical education teacher Erika Backus has been named Athletic Administrator of the year by Section X of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).
Director of Interscholastic Athletics for Section 10 Carl Normandin said, “I always found Erika to be a person of great integrity. Erika works hard to maintain a competitive, first class athletic program in her district. She is an excellent leader who is not afraid to stand up and fight for programs and ideas that she believes in and constantly looks for ways to recognize and honor the athletes who represent her school."
The award is given to an NYSAAA member who has made an outstanding contribution to athletics over the years and has shown devotion and idealism to athletics and promoted athletics in a positive manner.
