POTSDAM -- Clarkson Research Prof. Dana Barry’s new book, “Formation and Control of Biofilm in Various Environments,” published by Springer Nature, discusses countermeasures for controlling and killing bacteria, and also describes the benefits of bacteria.
Most bacteria are enclosed in a self-produced protective casing called a biofilm. The sticky matter on our teeth is a biofilm.
Dr. Barry has five graduate degrees, numerous honors, and close to 300 professional publications.
