POTSDAM – Delta Upsilon International Fraternity announced that its Clarkson Chapter at Clarkson University was one of the seven finalists for its Sweepstakes Trophy, the highest honor bestowed upon a DU undergraduate chapter. The 2019 trophy was awarded to the Kansas State Chapter.
This is the second consecutive year the Clarkson Chapter has been named a Sweepstakes Finalist. It last won the Sweepstakes Trophy in 1969.
During the 2018-2019 academic year, the 31-man Clarkson Chapter boasted a chapter GPA of 3.24 and was above the Clarkson IFC average for both size and GPA. In addition to raising $1,000 for the Global Service Initiative, DU’s international service project and philanthropy, the chapter served its community by hosting a 5k race in the spring to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and spent Saturdays throughout the school year volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
