Potsdam volunteers clean up truck spill
Thursday, June 28, 2012 - 4:52 pm

It might have been pretty tempting, but a crew of volunteers helped move 41,000 pounds of Hershey's chocolate chips from one truck to another Thursday morning. The cargo had been spilled from a tractor trailer that overturned in Stockholm Wednesday. Among the volunteers to gather at Martin's Service station on Maple Street in Potsdam were Katelyn Bloom, Alissa Martin, Lyndsey Martin, and Macy Huckle of Potsdam and Alexis Armstrong of Parishville, in front in the photo, along with members of the Potsdam Central JV and Varsity Football teams and a coach or two.
