Potsdam United Methodist Church Sunday school students and youth recently held a read-a-thon to raise funds for the Friday Free Lunch program, which is held at the First Presbyterian Church and sponsored by the Potsdam Interfaith Community (PIC). The students read 49 books (6,897 pages) and raised $700. The Friday Free Lunch program is held weekly from noon until one p.m. Lunch consists of a hot meal or sandwiches, fruit, chips and dessert. Lunch can be carried out or guests can eat at the church. The First Presbyterian Church is accessible to those with limited mobility.
