‘I helped this beautiful newborn fawn cross the road to reconnect with mama tonight,’ said photographer Chelle Lindahl. ‘It could barely walk and its hind end was still wet from birth,’ she said. Lindahl said the fawn was standing in the middle of Rt. 58 outside of Colton with its mother looking on. ‘It kept trying to head back to the road after I shooed it, so I carried it up the Riehl Road a ways to where mama had disappeared in the woods. No, my smell will not cause it to be rejected, for those who've heard that, I knew better or I wouldn't have done it,’ she said.
