TSA job fair
CANTON: Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is holding a one-day recruitment event to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a TSA officer at Ogdensburg or Massena International Airports; starting pay is $15.89 per hour with federal benefits and opportunities for pay increases after six months; session is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 15, at the New York State Department of Labor office, 80 State Highway 310 Suite 8, Canton 13617; during the hiring event, TSA officials will discuss the duties of a TSA officer and explain the application process; will also provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave and health, dental and vision benefits, federal retirement benefit, matching 401K and satisfaction in knowing you are performing a mission that is critical to our national security; candidates must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent security experience, and be a U.S. citizen or national; applicants are required to have two valid forms of state or federal identification; individuals who are interested may also apply online at tsajobs.tsa.dhs.gov or text “TSO” to 95495 or call 877-872-7990.
