Massena Fishing Expo
MASSENA: Massena Fishing Expo from Feb. 14-16 at the St. Lawrence Centre’s expo center will feature fishing pros and celebrities, boat displays and a variety of local exhibitors with fishing gear and tackle; also kids’ trout pond, archery range and other youth activities; admission is $12 and children younger than 12 are admitted free, parking is free; 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; seminars: “Muskie & Walleye Fishing in the North Country” with Captain Don Lucas at 11 a.m., “Smallmouth Crush – Tournament Preparation – Organize and have a SYSTEM!” with professional angler Travis Manson at noon, “Understanding the River Systems – Fishing Current” with MLF pro angler Adrian Aveena at 1 p.m., “Conservation – Protection of our Smallmouth Fisheries – Fizz Instruction” with Barb Elliott at 2 p.m., “The North Country – It is all That” with NY DEC at 3 p.m., “Swimbaits for Smallmouth” with author and TV personality Jim Root at 4 p.m., “An Introduction to Fishing Lake Ontario” with Captain Adam Deslande at 5 p.m., “North Country is NOW on the Map -- 2020 What’s Coming!” with keynote speaker Don Meisner at 6 p.m.; massenafishingexpo.com.
Pickleball shootout

20th annual fishing derby
COLTON: The Racquette Valley Fish and Game Club will host its 20th annual fishing derby, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. at 233 Coldbrook Dr. Anglers can pre-register at Boyce’s in South Colton or at Hannawa Country Store until Feb. 14. Same day registration will be available at the club from 7-9 a.m. Tickets at the club from 7-9. Prizes and door prizes.
