Motorcycle classic car ride

EDWARDS: Motorcycle, classic car ride to benefit the family of two-year-old Zander Lewis with travel and medical expenses for his weekly leukemia treatment in Syracuse; $10 registration at 10 a.m. at Last Lap; route goes to Hermon, Degrasse, Harrisville and ends at The Glow in South Edwards; food, entertainment provided; drawing at 7 p.m.

Louisville Summer Bash

LOUISVILLE: Annual Louisville Summer Bash, in conjunction with the 123rd NNY Firemen’s Convention; parade and mud run at 9 a.m., field day with live entertainment, Cubby the Clown, rides, free games and radio for kids will be held during the day, chicken barbecue will be ready at 11 a.m., rib cook-off at 3 p.m., beer and wine will be served, fireman’s combat challenge will be held at 2 p.m. following fireman’s water ball at noon, cake auction at 4:30 p.m., concession stand all day, ice cream stand, Italian Affair 5 p.m., fireworks will be launched at dusk; proceeds from Summer Bash benefit the Bash committee, Louisville Boy Scouts, Helping Hands, Lions Club, local vendors and the Massena Rod and Gun Club.

Arts in the Park

GOUVERNEUR: 29th Annual Arts in the Park, Gouverneur Village Park, artists and crafters, food, etc; rain location: St. James School, South Gordon Street.

Volunteer Day

MORRISTOWN: Volunteer day at the Red Barn Preserve, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; help is needed with a variety of projects, including finishing the two trails which lead to the heron rookery; volunteers are asked to bring work gloves, and long sleeve shirts and long pants are encouraged; Red Barn Preserve is located on River Road East outside the village of Morristown.

Family fun day

MASSENA: “Words in the Woods” at Nicandri Nature Center; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Fun run: 5 km for teens/adults; 1/3 km for kids; 2 km walk also available; storywalks throughout trails, educational program by nature center, nature story and crafts by Massena Library, free cookout for lunch; 19 Robinson Bay Rd, 315-705-5022.

Movie night

MASSENA: Family fun night with free popcorn, drinks, games and movie; downtown Massena. in front of Town Hall; bouncy houses, face painting and games start at 6:30 p.m. The movie “Ralph Breaks the Internet” begins at 8:45 p.m; bring blanket and chair to watch movie under the stars; hosted by Massena Drug-Free Community Coalition.

Eid Celebration

POTSDAM: North Country Children Museum, 10 Raymond St., to host Eid Celebration, 11 a.m.-noon; youngsters can learn about the celebration which marks the end of Ramadan; guest presenter Alla Fallah will read stories and teach children to make traditional lantern crafts; special holiday sweets available; free for visitors and members; www.northcountrychildrensmuseum.org.

Talking is teaching

NORWOOD: “Talking is Teaching” kickoff at Norwood Beach, 1 p.m; Board book giveaway, silly singalong, story-walk at beach, art activity and refreshment. Parent-tot swimming signups available.

Food distribution

MASSENA: Food distribution, 9-10:30 a.m., St. Vincent de Paul, 128 Main St.; for St. Lawrence County residents only.

Tie dye shirt

Ogdensburg: Tie-dye shirt; bring your own shirt; 1 p.m. Ogdensburg Public Library in the park.

Bag sale

NORFOLK: Bag sale at Whistle Stop Thrift Store, 11 W. Main St. (next to the United Methodist Church); $4 bag sale (all items included); 10 a.m.-noon.
