NASA hosts dance
CANTON: As part of November being Native American Heritage Month, the St. Lawrence University NASA (Native American Student Alliance) collective on campus is hosting a social dance, 6-7 p.m., and a buffet-style meal, 7-8:30 p.m. at Eben Holden, St. Lawrence campus; dance is free; buffet $13.50, $7.50 for kids; open to the community and is meant as a way for NASA to share their culture; social dance will be full of traditional Mohawk music and dancing that aims to bring people closer together; partnered meal with the Green Cafe is a menu stemmed from NASA member’s own food culture that showcases identities of their heritage growing up; entire event will be highly educational with informational posters showcasing spotlight Native individuals.
Trivia night
POTSDAM: Trivia night to benefit the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, 7 p.m. at the Barking Dog, 495 W. Parishville Rd.; categories will be movies and television, geography and history, and general knowledge; first-place team will win $200; second place is $120, and third place is $100; four-person teams may sign up at the hospital gift shop or email the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild at guild.cph@gmail.com for a sign-up sheet, cost is $25 per person; 50/50 raffle and cash bar; www.facebook.com/CPHGuild, 315-212-0027.
College council meets
POTSDAM: SUNY Potsdam College Council will hold its second meeting of the 2019-20 academic year on Friday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m., in the Raymond Hall seventh floor boardroom; open to the public.
Nature Night

Harvest bazaar
GOUVERNEUR: 1st Methodist Church, 34 Grove St, across from the post office, hosts harvest bazaar and luncheon 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., homemade baked goods, Rada knives, handmade candy by the pound, this and that sale, handcrafted items, household treasures, local crafters; lunch will be served on Friday starting at 11:30 a.m., menu includes homemade soup, choice of sandwich, beverage and dessert; $9.
Rummage Sale
POTSDAM: Rummage sale 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam, 42 Elm St; clean, usable items in good condition may be dropped off at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Please not TVs or other large electronics.
