Higher education night

CANTON: St. Lawrence University will host the Northern Zone Counselors Association’s Higher Education Night, 6:30-8 p.m., Leithead Field House; information on participating colleges and universities will be announced at a later date.

Alzheimer support group

CANTON: Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter hosting support group, 6:30 p.m., United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care, 205 State Street Rd.; free to attend, facilitated by trained individuals; info: 1-800-272-3900 or email cny-programs@alz.org.

Handbell Choir

POTSDAM: Noteworthy Handbell Choir fall concert, 6:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 42 Elm St.; community handbell choir and plays a wide variety of music both secular and the more expected faith based; free will offering that will in part benefit First Presbyterian Church's Little Free Pantry; www.noteworthyhandbellchoir.org; www.facebook.com/NoteworthyHandbellChoir.

One Hour One Work

OGDENSBURG: Frederic Remington Art Museum, 303 Washington St., invites the public to attend “One Hour One Work” session, 2 p.m.; ongoing program is a chance for participants to slow down and dive deep into Remington’s oil painting “Boat House at Ingleneuk;” museum educator facilitates 60 minutes of focused looking, consideration, conversation, and interpretation; free with admission to the museum, but space is limited and reservations are requested: 315-393-2425, desmond@fredericremington.org.
