Gatekeeper training

POTSDAM: St. Lawrence Health System, in partnership with Reachout, will host a QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper training, 5-6:30 p.m., Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Conference Rooms A and B, 50 Leroy St.; September is Suicide Awareness Month, and QPR Gatekeeper training is a nationally recognized program that enables the recognition of the warning signs of suicide, how to offer help and hope, and how to refer someone for further assistance; one hour training; www.qprinstitute.com; open to all community members, refreshments available; Deborah Chase-Lauther, 315-261-5413, dchaselauther@cphospital.org to reserve your seat.
